MX Local Value is now live. It is a simple day-by-day guide to genuine food value from local venues, starting with eight current listings from Carlos Cantina and Taco Bill Croydon.
The idea is not to build another coupon site. It is to make useful local offers easier to find, help residents decide where to eat, and give food businesses a free way to put a sustainable offer in front of local people.
Choose a day and see what is available
The guide is organised by day, so you can check what is available when you are actually planning a meal. The first listings include set-price meals, weekday dining offers, tacos, margaritas, happy hour and family value.
The first participating venues
Carlos Cantina
Carlos Cantina has approved five recurring listings: 30% off entrees and mains on Monday and Tuesday, $10 margaritas on Wednesday, $5 tacos on Thursday, 30% off margaritas on Friday and Kids Eat Free on Sunday.
Its venue-approved wording, conditions and supplied artwork are recorded in the MX offer register.
Taco Bill Croydon
Taco Bill Croydon directly confirmed its $20 Main Meals throughout August and Happy Hour from 5:30pm to 8pm on Thursday and Friday. Those two August offers can be used together.
Its Sunday Kids Eat Free listing is also included from the venue’s current published information and is labelled in the register as source-verified.
Value does not have to mean a deep discount
A worthwhile offer might be a fixed-price meal, a family night, an off-peak package, a complimentary extra or a recurring special that gives people a good reason to visit. The venue controls the offer, dates, exclusions and conditions.
Standard listings are free. Paying does not determine which businesses are included or how an offer is described.
How MX keeps the guide useful
- Every offer has a source, checked date and status.
- Venue-confirmed and source-verified listings are distinguished internally.
- Offer wording, conditions and approved images are preserved once a venue approves them.
- Expiry and follow-up dates trigger a new check rather than an automatic extension.
- Venues can correct, replace or withdraw an offer.
