Ringwood East Market

Browse stalls for gifts, food and other finds at Knaith Road Reserve, behind the Ringwood East shopping strip. Run by Ringwood East Traders Association, the monthly market supports local community organisations. Its position beside the shops makes it easy to combine a market visit with a look around the village.

Maroondah Handicrafts Makers' Market

Meet the people behind the handmade gifts, jewellery, cards and homewares at this indoor market. Maroondah Handicrafts describes its goods as Australian-made, with most created by local craftspeople. The non-profit association brings makers together and supports community giving.

Heathmont Farmers' Market

Set aside a Sunday morning for the local stalls at Great Ryrie Primary School. Regional Farmers Markets describes Heathmont as a family-friendly market with space for children to play. Dogs are welcome and parking is available, making it a practical option for a visit together.

Wyreena Makers Market
Special event | 9am-2pm
Local artists and makers bring handcrafted work to Wyreena for Christmas-gift browsing. Stalls are planned inside the arts centre and out in the gardens, with a play space in the grounds for families. This is a makers event, with art and handmade gifts at its centre.

Park Orchards Market
3rd Saturday | 10am-2pm
Yarra Valley produce meets handmade goods, plants and homewares in the school grounds. The organiser lists bread, pastries, cheese and preserves alongside craft and jewellery stalls, with coffee, hot food and live music. The playgrounds and oval give families room to settle in for a longer visit.

Whitehorse Farmers' Market
2nd Sunday | 8am-1pm
Make this a food-shopping morning, with fruit and vegetables, meat, bread, eggs, pasta, preserves and olive oil among the organiser's listed produce. Rotary volunteers run the market, with funds raised supporting Whitehorse community projects. Bring reusable bags, and allow time for coffee or breakfast.

Nunawading Market

Browse handmade goods, ceramics, jewellery, textiles and gifts, along with fresh produce and gourmet food. The market spreads inside and outside the Civic Centre. Arts Nunawading runs the event, with proceeds supporting cultural, performing and visual arts in the Whitehorse community.

A nearby option for a food-focused morning, with seasonal produce, locally made food, coffee and pastries at the old Punt Road winery site. The market is in Coldstream, near Lilydale, and offers a chance to browse Yarra Valley producers together in one place.

About this guide and the areas we cover
The Maroondah Exchange focuses on Bayswater North, Croydon, Croydon Hills, Croydon North, Croydon South, Heathmont, Kilsyth South, Ringwood, Ringwood East, Ringwood North and Warranwood, plus the Maroondah parts of Kilsyth, Park Orchards, Vermont and Wonga Park.
This first market selection includes four venues inside Maroondah and four clearly labelled nearby venues in Manningham, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges. It combines regular community, farmers and makers markets with the announced Wyreena special event.
Dates marked with an asterisk come from the organiser’s usual schedule. Heathmont’s December arrangements are awaiting confirmation. No 2027 dates have been announced here.
