Thai food has the widest suburb footprint among the major cuisine groupings in the current MX Asian-food map. The 17 qualifying restaurants are spread across 10 suburbs. Croydon leads with four and Bayswater has three, but seven other suburbs have only one or two places serving their local area.

This is a practical local map, not a declaration of the best venue. The checked date, category rules and review threshold remain visible so the guide can be refreshed without rewriting its history.

A food map built from both clusters and single locals

Croydon’s four-record group and Bayswater’s three create the two largest clusters. Heathmont and Ringwood East each have two. Croydon North, Croydon South, Kilsyth, Ringwood, Ringwood North and Wonga Park each have one.

That spread matters more than a simple league table. In some suburbs, Thai food is part of a wider dining centre. In others, one restaurant carries the entire category for its immediate neighbourhood.

All 17 directory records use Thai restaurant as their primary public category. That gives this page a clean starting point, but it does not establish regional cooking, signature dishes, spice levels, dietary suitability or whether dine-in, delivery and takeaway are equally important.

Those details should come from the venues themselves. The current guide therefore maps the choice without turning broad category data into unsupported menu claims.
